Autumn Dates

Don’t miss out on some great Shows this Autumn, here are our top pick:


Starting this weekend, 12-14 September, the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show includes a fun ‘giant vegetable’ competition as well as lots of activities for kids including building a ‘bug hotel’!  Other highlights include Autumn show gardens, cookery theatre and craft tents.


If you’re looking to stock up on plants, don’t miss the Hyde Hall plant festival in Chelmsford 20-21 September


This year’s  Malvern Autumn Show runs from  27-28 September, and will be headed up by celebrity gardener Monty Don!  A celebration of good food, gardening and the countryside, the Show includes cookery demonstrations, gardening talks, vegetable competitions plus vintage tractors and countryside crafts.


RHS London Autumn Harvest Show runs in from 7-8 October.

We’ve Won ‘Gold’ Again!

Our beautiful national trust paving and shingle paths have won another ‘Gold’ Award at this year’s Shrewbury Flower Show.  We also won best Stand at the Show!  Our Stand was shared with www.moretonpark.com who are also one of our display centres.

Looking for our 3rd Gold Award!

We’re hoping for our third Award this week at RHS Tatton Park Flower Show.  In conjunction with www.alitex.co.uk beautiful glass houses, our paving has scooped Gold at both Chelsea and RHS Hampton Court this year!  Can we make it No 3 this week – watch this space!!

RHS Tatton Park Flower Show, Cheshire

Held at one of the National Trust’s flagship country house estates, this years Tatton Park Flower show runs from 23-27 July.  One of the biggest flower shows in the UK, it offers something for everyone, not just gardening enthusiasts.  Browse the Country Living ‘shopping’ marquee,  Browse local artists in the Arts & Crafts pavillion and enjoy the award winning garden displays.  Plus wine tastings, flower marquees, garden furniture and fruit & veg.  Don’t miss out on Cheshire’s best kept secret!

Family Fun this Summer!

Many of the Garden Centres and National Trust houses are running fun activities across the summer holidays. Moreton Park Garden Centre nr Chirk have different activities running every week from 30 July including a ‘reptile roadshow’!  See link for more details. http://www.moretonpark.com/summer

Westminster Stone and the National Trust Landscape Collection have once again been chosen to create a beautiful landscape setting in-conjunction with Alitex Greenhouses and Conservatories at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.  The prestigious annual event will take place between May 20-24th  will showcase a range of our renowned flagstones, brick pavers and decorative garden accessories.

The beautiful Burford Garden Centre in the Cotswolds has something to offer everyone during the Easter Holidays, from it’s National Award for bulbs & extensive garden & outdoor living displays to the gorgeous interior collections and childrens store. Then, when you’re worn out with all that shopping, visit their Award winning cafe!

Hayes Garden World become our latest stockist!

Hayes Garden World in beautiful Ambleside in the Lake District have become our latest display centre.  A family run business for 5 generations, Hayes has been trading for over 200 years with extensive ranges of both garden and home products, pets & aquatics and a large cafe with lovely outdoor terrace.  Hayes will carry display modules for the National Trust Landscape Collection allowing visitors to view the products & design ideas.  They will be offering nationwide ‘direct to home’ distribution, ideal for those visiting the Lake District from afar.

Alan Titchmarsh Designs for Chelsea after 30 years!

This year’s Chelsea Flower Show running May 20-24th will include a Garden designed by Alan Titchmarsh, his first at the Show for 30 years.  The Garden wlll celebrate the 50 years since the introduction of ‘Britain in Bloom’ which encourages communities to clean and brighten their local environment.  The Garden entitled ‘From the Moors to the Sea – a celebration of RHS Britain in Bloom’ also marks Mr Titchmarsh’s 50th year in horticulture.

Vita Sackville-West’s Wedding trousseau goes on display!

For the first time, the private Wedding trousseau of Sissinghurst Castle’s most famous resident, Vita Sackville-West goes on display this summer.  The display includes Vita’s gold silk Wedding Skirt, honeymoon outfits, wedding gifts, drawings and letters, including a letter sent to one of Vita’s female lovers.

Historic ‘Writer’s’ gardens to visit this Spring

All of these beautiful houses were once home to a famous writer, enjoy a leisurely Spring visit and learn more about these fascinating  authors including Rudyard Kipling, Agatha Christie and Wordsworth.
